Maggie 3 Months

I am so behind... sorry! These photos were taken around Feb. 11th. The Little Lady at 3 Months! She's a talker - she loves to coo. And she has a big toothless grin but as soon as I put a camera in her face, she gets really serious! She's a sweet baby girl who is DYING to sit up and see the action... it's really pretty funny. Can't wait to see if this is indicative of her future personality!

And what about this guy!?! The other day I was singing to him and he looks at me and says, 'Mommy, stop it, okay.' I was so stunned that I actually did stop... and then died out laughing. Partly at him and partly at the fact that he had asked me to stop singing. What am I saying, he TOLD me to stop singing.
His favorite word is 'okay'. It comes in a variety of syllable lengths. 'ok' , 'oooooookaaaaaaayyyyyy', 'okkaaayyy'.
Some other things you might hear him say...
'Wat bout dat, son?' - What about that, son?
'Sleep in be be bed?' - Sleep in big boy bed?
'Play Dutty Dutty in Daddy's office?' - Sean Kingston's 'Letting Go- Dutty Love'
'Ohhh, it's so dark.'
'Take temp not in boonay, in armpit.' - Take my temperature in my armpit not my booty.
'Idea, idea!' - I have an idea!
'O Govna!' - Hello Governor!
'1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10' - Not real sure what has warranted the dismissal of 3 and 4.
' Mickey Mouse Cubhouse'

and a lot of other silly sayings that I will have to fill you in on later!

Checking In

As I watch yet another snow "shower" fall, I have never felt such a need for spring to arrive in my life! A newborn and a 2 year old stuck inside all day is not a happy place! But that being said, I have two of the sweetest babies ever... we're just running out of things to do. I mean, the vacuum is only fun for so long!

Maggie is (knock on wood) a great sleeper! Which has been a huge help to her mommy! At her 11 week check-up, she weighed 12 lbs. 3 oz (58th percentile) and was 22 3/4 in. (38th percentile). She's a little girl (Will weighed 12.1 at 6 wks)... but she's cute as a button and is kind enough to give her parents 10 hour stretches at night! I took some pics of her in an outfit of mine... I was brought home in the sweater set. I think peachy/pink is her color!
I think I've forgotten to mention her 'milestones', so I'll do that now. She started smiling around 5-6 weeks. Started 'cooing' around 8 weeks. And I believe I heard her giggle (like a half grunt/half giggle) and she rolled over from her stomach to her back both yesterday - so 12 weeks.
And Will is getting older too! His teachers at Playschool have referred to his speech as a 'language explosion'. He went from 0 to 60 in no time. He really tries to talk in sentences now - Mommy sit here... Maggie is crying - it's okay Maggie... Thacker is bad dog... Call B, call Pop - in Jackson... Meryl coming? Bringing iPod? Phone?... Hutch is best friend... Penny is girlfriend.
It's really too funny. The other day I walked into the kitchen and asked him what he was doing. He looked at me and responded with... 'eating yogurt'. And he was. He's a little boy now! Who can go to the refrigerator, pull out his milk, take a sip and then put it back!
And to go with all of the big boy stuff, we tried taking a nap in the big boy bed. It lasted 20 minutes! Don't let the photo fool you! Not sure if he woke up really confused or what. So I tried laying down with him. Then I gave up and put him in his crib. As Will would say... 'Almost... Try Again'!
