Flashback to May

I know... I've gotten worse... sorry!
So a quick post in pictures to sum up the month of May!

Maggie hit the 6 month mark! Weighing in at 15 lbs. 11 oz ... and I can't remember how long she was... sorry Mags... she is a happy little thing.
She loves her big brother and he sure loves her! She is sitting up fairly well by herself now and really wants to figure out how to move. In part because she is unsure if this is a hug or choke hold ; )

We were fortunate enough to steal a couple of nights away to Key West again this year! We went with Talbert and Jessica and had an unbelievable time! Great food and drinks and a lot of down time made for a much needed rest... for both couples! I took this picture while stopped for lunch on a fishing trip... wish I were there now!
Thacker... If you've talked to me or Wes lately you have probably heard such terms as ' thunder-shirt ' and ' xanax '. You know what... All dogs go to heaven!
Will has spend a lot of time with his best bud, Ann Wilson. Here they are sharing technology... an iPod. Our son is obsessed with technology... there is nothing else that needs to be said here. Other than it drives me nuts!
Also sharing a kiss!
Mags in the Johnny Jump Up!
In other news...

We had a series of bad storms and of course, while Wes was out of town, a tree fell on our roof. Luckily no serious damage, just a pain in the neck!
Also, it was a cicada year! Yuck! And I'm not sure why, but I think they were really bad in Nashville. They stuck to your clothes and then ended up inside your house and car. The noise was awful! Will HATED them! Look Maaa-mmyy... it's a ciii-ccaa-ddaa! I shouldn't make fun of how he talks as it is only a reflection on Wes and myself. But it is funny! Wes taught him to say - 'Jester's dead' when he saw a dead one on the ground.
Basically, I will not be disappointed if I never see another one of these nasty bugs again!
Memorial Day Weekend and it's already REALLY hot around here. So the kids beat the heat in a baby pool!

2 Things:

I have to post these two things re: Will...

1.
Last night we had our first 'I can do it all by myself' tantrum. He thought he could master putting on his pajamas all by himself. 45 minutes later and an all out war, I finally convinced him that he would need help.

2.
While saying his prayers, he decided to say 'God Bless... The Big Garage'. I couldn't help it... I laughed. This is my parents' garage and for some reason he calls it 'the big garage' and for some reason he thought it deserved a blessing tonight!

Easter

Wes and I are so fortunate to be able to spend this time at home each year with our family and good friends. And of course it's always extra special spending that time with 'new' friends/family!

Maggie got to meet her new boyfriend, Baylor Berry, this trip! Baylor is 10 weeks younger and looks like he might be older! Quite the Hoss next to our Little Lady!

Obviously, they hit it off - I mean, when do you ever get two babies to smile at the same time!
Will had a lot of fun this Easter. We hunted Easter eggs at a friend's birthday party. Dyed eggs with JJ, Tom and Ridge (and I have the BEST photo of him - just have to figure out a way to get it off my phone)... each pull from the dye was a wonderful surprise! And enjoyed time with cousins. One thing that he could have cared less about... his Easter basket... of course! The one thing that cost $$$. When will I learn!
Finally... a Jones Family Photo!
And then one of our family... what is up with Maggie not looking at the camera!?!
And I'm sorry... I'm going to brag here... they are ADORABLE in this pic!!!
They look like little dolls - sadly, we are never this put together in real life!
Daddy with his little girl!
I have to add, my mom bought the bonnet for Maggie and I think it is precious! Wish it was appropriate for every day wear!
Parker-Poo at the Jones Easter Party
Willis-Banillis and Tom
And Charlie Berry... just being a little boy! The pics were too cute not to post!

I promise I'm going to catch up with this thing soon!!!

Spring Time!

As the weather has warmed up, we've been spending more time outside...thank goodness! These pics were taken on April 2 - still needing long-sleeves and sweaters - but definitely better than it had been.
Maggie... enjoying being a 'supported sitter'!
Also enjoying her feet!
Will LOVES his 'lawnmota'. The only downfall... it as a 'popper' action and he likes to mow the grass inside as much as out!
All smiles for this little spring chick!

Just pics!

Maggie 4 Months

I know... don't say anything!
These pictures were taken on March 11, 2011, at the 4 month mark.
At that month's pediatrician appt, little girl weighed 13 1/2 lbs. ... so little compared to Will!

Happy 2nd Birthday Will

Will turned 2 on Sunday, March 6th. We had planned a festive party at Dragon Park for that Saturday... and of course, the weather man spoiled the fun! We changed plans last minute due to the torrential showers forecasted for that day - thank goodness - and had the party at Bounce U! I was pretty disappointed as this killed 'the look' I was going for with his dinosaur themed party. But everyone had a blast! And I will never forget walking into the room, holding Will and him saying, 'Oh my Goodness!'
He had an amazing time!
And so did everyone else!
I was a little nervous about this age group on these huge inflatables... especially the slides (they are pretty steep)... but I was dead wrong!
We even invited our new best friends from school... Ian, Hutch and Luca.
A very 'big-boy' thing to do!
Will's 'girl-friend' from school, Penny, came too but I somehow didn't get a photo of her.
Even the parents had a little too much fun!

Will LOVED the lighting of the candle and singing Happy Birthday... so much so, that we had to do it five additional times that night and about 10 times throughout that next week! I even had to do it yesterday morning...
He finally figured out how to blow the flame out on try #4 at home that night! Maybe we should have practiced beforehand!
War Wound... he took a hit on a mean patch of velcro... but it could never have spoiled his day!
Will... now you 'Be 2' and we love you so much!

Maggie 3 Months

I am so behind... sorry! These photos were taken around Feb. 11th. The Little Lady at 3 Months! She's a talker - she loves to coo. And she has a big toothless grin but as soon as I put a camera in her face, she gets really serious! She's a sweet baby girl who is DYING to sit up and see the action... it's really pretty funny. Can't wait to see if this is indicative of her future personality!

And what about this guy!?! The other day I was singing to him and he looks at me and says, 'Mommy, stop it, okay.' I was so stunned that I actually did stop... and then died out laughing. Partly at him and partly at the fact that he had asked me to stop singing. What am I saying, he TOLD me to stop singing.
His favorite word is 'okay'. It comes in a variety of syllable lengths. 'ok' , 'oooooookaaaaaaayyyyyy', 'okkaaayyy'.
Some other things you might hear him say...
'Wat bout dat, son?' - What about that, son?
'Sleep in be be bed?' - Sleep in big boy bed?
'Play Dutty Dutty in Daddy's office?' - Sean Kingston's 'Letting Go- Dutty Love'
'Ohhh, it's so dark.'
'Take temp not in boonay, in armpit.' - Take my temperature in my armpit not my booty.
'Idea, idea!' - I have an idea!
'O Govna!' - Hello Governor!
'1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10' - Not real sure what has warranted the dismissal of 3 and 4.
' Mickey Mouse Cubhouse'

and a lot of other silly sayings that I will have to fill you in on later!
